Found this on close out at GC.
2011 model that never sold so I figured $260 wasn't that bad a price for a cute little class 5 Marshall head.
Had one of the early combo versions when they first came out and I thought the speaker was the weak point so I sold it.
This head thru a 4X12 sounds really nice.
Plenty of nice cleans and gets real dirty when you push it.Pedals sound good thru it too.

Just got done shaking it down and its a great amp awesome Marshall tone.
Its loud as hell too I kept around 3 to get a more clean base to work with.Past that you start to drive the amp.
I ran a Keely DS-1 and controlled the volume with it sounded great.Next was a Zvex distortron and it loved that pedal in the sub 3 mode on low gain and it got a very nice JTM 45 type drive.
MXR 10 band EQ was a pleasure to tweak on this amp sounded freakin killer.
Amp and cab running 16 ohms so next I will try it on 8 ohms with the cab set on 8 so we'll see how that sounds.
It would be a great studio amp IMO.
The head version is much better than the combo hands down.
May try my Weber MASS on it but being a 50 watt attenuator I'm not sure if that will hurt the amp.

Sounds much fatter running 8 ohms and breaks up in a smoother way if that makes sense.
You can switch it to headphones plug your cab into the headphone jack half way and crank the amp to push it harder at a 1/4 of the volume.
So it makes a decent bedroom amp.

My buddy has one of those and they do rock!! They're really easy to transport too and they have great tone as well. Nice score Stray!
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Not sure why you sold the combo version off as you can disconnect the internal speaker and plug into a 4x12 cab even with that. Same amp really

killer. i could turn it up to 10 and not rumble the house apart - even though i run a lot of my smaller amps all the way up with no issues....

              thanks for the info!!

The cab on the combo had a bad rattle in it I figured it was the chassis mount but once I fixed that the cab was just not very solid and still rattled.
I did run it thru a 4X12 a few times and it sounded good but the vibration of the 4X12 cab still made the combo cab rattle.
