I would highly recommend the JFX1 for your effects with your Marshall rack setup. They are quite old school but they sound great to me. However, they are much more rare than the preamp (JMP1) and tend to be expensive. I searched for one for quite a while, even posted a wanted ad here on JCF. Ultimately I found one in England and with the help of fellow JCFer Wilkinsi got it over here. Since then I picked up others including another from the UK, again thanks to Wilkinsi. Anyway, they do pop up occassionally for sale on E-Bay but go in the $500.00 range give or take a bit. For an effects processor from the mid 90's thats quite a bit. This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I bought the JMP-1 and the Dual Monobloc off of a friend about 6 years ago for $1200.00 bucks for the pair. I love the way it sounds and I thought it was a pretty fair deal considering they had like zero mileage on them because he never used them.Rudy

Another example of someone you've heard playing a Dual Monobloc is Dave Mustaine. He's using it and the Rocktron Prophesy I do believe. Here's a pic of Mustaine's rig. He's actually using both of the models. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...ed=0CF8Q9QEwBALast edited by Bear R.-; 12-15-2013, 11:07 AM.

Drove out to Pittsburgh from the Warren/Youngstown area to pick them upThis is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! Just about everyone I know around this area play combo amps and hate on guys like myself with "Real" rigs. I just laugh at them and say "More cool Marshall stuff for me."Rudy

I don't mind combo amps or hate on them at all. I just hate when people always say "Man that thing is too big." Every time a buddy of mine says that I always respond "Yeah that's what she said." What they don't realize is I don't care how big it is. I like the sound of a Marshall 100 watt tube amp and a 4x12 cab or more. The size of what I am playing through is only a coincidence. If it fit in my pocket I'd be playing it as long as it sounded like it does. That's all I care about. What it sounds like and forget everything else. This is what I think of Gibson since 1993.
