I believe I can EQ and overcome the scooped issue if I have one. This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! Don't get me wrong bro. The 1960 with the G12T-75's sounds great with my dual monobloc ,JMP1, my 900's and Plexi. I just personally prefer to use the V30's or green backs with my TSL or JVM.This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! You can get the GB in a 1960AC, BC, AX, BX. There is also the 425A or B.
I compared a 1960A to a 425B (greenbacks) side by side with a JVM410H. The GT75's in the 1960 had a scooped sound but had good low end. The GB's in the 425 cab sound great, not as much low end as the 1960A but the mids and highs were sweet. With the JVM, they had an 80's type of sound (I mean that in a good way). I ended up with the 1960AV (v30's) and passed on the 425. The 425B was a purple cabinet and did not match my head but I cannot get the GB's out of my head. May have to go back and get that purple 425.No honey, I have always had this Jackson....

Okay, I don't really care for the "vintage" grille cloth look. Just not my thing. I'm interested in the greenback speakers but I worry about blowing them. So I'll probably go with the standard 1960 and use EQ to set my tone.Member - National Sarcasm Society
