NAD..JCM2000 DSL 100...now I need a cab. Recommendations??

So I picked up an older Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100 from a guy CL and it need some refurb.
I stripped it down and removed all the "patina". Some asshead had spray painted the logo red and someone else did a half assed job of scraping it off.
He had what I think was a shorted tube and took it in for repair and was told they replaced the tubes. He had no clue what was going on.
It also looked like they replaced a fuse and one of the screen resistors. When I got into the guts it looked like the replaced resistor had fallen out and was loose inside the chassis.
Next time I buy a used amp I know to turn it upside down before forking over the cash.
I did a search and it looks like this is a somewhat common problem with these amps.
I took out the main board and fixed the missing resistor. Checked everything else out and put it all back together.
It is a great sounding amp but I was only able to play it through the speaker in a 1x12 combo I have since I don't have a cab.
I was thinking of finding a 1960A cab to go with it. Any tips or experience here would be appreciated.
I really like the versatility of this amp but after reading about all the issues especially with the early models I might have to pass this one on.

Congrats on the JCM 2000. I've been using mine for gigs for several months now, mainly through Marshall 4x12 cabs with the stock 75w Celestions. It works well with that amp. There are a couple things that can be modded or at least need to be addressed in that amp which a friend of mine mods all the time. After that they're pretty reliable and good sounding amps.

If you want clarity, and more thump go with a Peavey 5150 cab loaded with Sheffields
If you want a little more sizzle and thump go with a Marshall 1960A or B loaded with Celestion T75's
If you want the most sizzle and a decent amount of thump go with a Marshall 1960A or B loaded with Celestion V30's

I picked up a JCM 900 Lead 1960a with stock T75's. Sounds pretty good. I might pick up some V30's if I find a deal at some point and try them out but for right now I am pretty satisfied.

I use mine with a 1960A v30's and 75's in an x pattern. Caulk all the gaps tighten the screws, and re-solder the stereo jack pcb for peace of mind and you have a UBER Cab. Or another great speaker for that head are Scumback 75's. Sheffield are cool too though. You will know when you hear it. I will add some porn in a little bit, it's dinner time first.

You really can't go wrong with the 1960 cab. I use one with my JCM 900 4500, and my 6100 30th Anniversary. Mine still has 4 G12T75s, but I've thought of trying an X pattern with either V30s, or G12K85s. Of course the 85s are at the other end of the spectrum, with huge tight bottom end, and tons of headroom. If I ever get around to it, I'll make some clips.
