Bugera: Sign of the MF/GC apocalypse?

Anyone notice the absurdly low prices on Bugera amps over at Musician's Friend?
I realize the company on this forum ain't likely to be in the market for these amps,
and I certainly am not. But, considering all the doomsaying about the possible
collapse of GC and parent MF [or is it the other way around?] I'm wondering if
these ultra-blowout prices are indicative of MF being desperate for quick cash?

I've noticed a trend in blowout sales of Chinese stuff in general, but I'm not sure it can be directly tied to a crisis at GC. The main thing about all the GC collapse chatter, whether it's here, on Facebook, or even on business news sites, is that it all leads back to one blog post, and from what I've read, that guy isn't saying much new that wasn't out there 3 years or so ago.

Sam Ash blew out the Bugera stuff last year. I don't think they sell well. I love my 333xl, but it's just a tad bit of overkill for an at home player.

What I found strange was the amps MF was offering for insane prices
are ON ORDER and not in stock yet! Not a typical overstock blowout kind
of deal, unless maybe they're warehoused somewhere else and are enroute?

at first all I saw was closeout but I did look closer and saw what you saw. I think these are older models that they are getting in to sell off. Almost all the new ones have that infinium or whatever it is in the name. if the timing is right I might have to get a combo in the 6260 or 6262.

Exactly how cheap? My 333XL is a beast and I would recommend it to anyone. !!!!!!HOLY CRA......... That's amazingly cheap! Might have to pull the trigger in another 333XL.

Wow...those are really good prices. Never been a fan of Bugera because they just rip off other designs, but a 6260 for $250 would be a good backup to have around for my 6505+.

I understand peoples trepidation about the Bugeras because naysayers blast the clone designs, however, until you play one in a real live band setting you really don't have a good idea of exactly what these amps can do. They really are more than just a bargain basement clone and really do have their own personalities. Mine has held up far better than anyone expected (it even completely survived the flood I had last year without any issues at all) it is a workhorse for sure. In a live setting it has outdone or equaled every other amp that has shared a stage with it. Sound guys were repeatedly blown away with the sound out of it and how they really didn't need to tweak anything in the PA mix because it cuts like a razor. At the same levels it has buried 5150's, a real original VHT Ultralead, a Triple Rec, and more than a handful of Marshalls.

Oh and this is the loudest amp I have ever owned. I can not recommend it enough.
