Adapter busted on my Morpheus Drop Tune. Fuck Morpheus, never bothered to respond to my inquiry about buying a new one.

After looking at a version advertising itself as a replacement that was asking extortionate prices, I came to this:

    From a company called Vellman.

comes with every male adapter you can think of, and works both center pole positive or negative. I guess you could accidentally use the wrong voltage, but the switch is stiff enough. Under $15, and just tried it on the Morpheus- worked like a charm.

So if you're buying used pedals with no adapter, have no fear. You can get a high quality jack of all trades for very little.

Most of the time off name adapters can be found on E-Bay, although I never really looked at the one specifically for the Morpheus Drop Tune. As long as the power rating is the same it should be good. Also, I'm thinking Morpheus never responded back to your e-mail because I thought they were out of business, or am I mistaken?

Velleman's a well known Belgian Company. Pretty decent quality.
Adapters aren't really critical, as long as it covers the same rating, you should be fine...

Well, there are 3 issues here- first is that I don't trust the Chinese or whoever labeled the wart to really give me a properly rated product. I didn't want to buy something and multimeter it to find out it's garbage. Second, I saw a piece recently on the iphone charger- basically suggesting it was overpriced but then actually cracking it open and comparing it to "off brand" chargers- and the off brand Chargers were actually sort of scary in their quality- bad wiring, low rated materials, etc.

Vellman as you say is a known company. In the end, for $14 I got a wall wart that will work with ANYTHING- pedals and also anything else that needs a wall wart. So I can have one and never worry about whether or not I can find the old one.

Off brand ones I saw were in many cases way more than $14. I used it last night at practice- no issues, worked like a champ.

It's a good to hear you found one that works for cheap. Most Wallwarts are made in China these days no matter what brand though.

Yel and and I believe this one is no different- no way to get around that really. But at least it's attached to a real company with a history rather than being from some Chinese factory that cranked out some garbage and dumped it at dollar stores
