I have been looking to getting a new combo for a while. It has gotten old cramming a ton of gear in the trunk to do a 45-60 minute set. I am trying to get it down to one guitar and one amp. I ordered the HT Club 40 SE. It came with a V30, but I swapped it out for an OEM Mesa EVM12L. It sounds pretty cool with my PRS Bernie Marsden (with Gibson Classic 57s). It is going to be my rig for the next few shows we're doing. I am going SUPER old school and just plugging straight in, no effects other than what the amp offers - reverb.

    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I had the ID60 TVP head. Very fun. Needed a more "scooped" speaker though. I started with Celestion Classic 80's, and ended up with an old school Marshall 4x12 with T75's, and that really made a difference for the better.

      HNAD!

Love the Bernie too - I had a pair of those. Probably one of the best guitars out there at that price point.

i'll say, the Bernie has quickly become one of my "go-to" guitars. it is a beast. the feel and the tone are unreal. my number one is this musicman:

but the Bernie is right up there. I have been using it on a lot of recordings too.
