    It's been too long and I can't remember. Mine was the older vinyl type with script logo, not the late 80's+ with carpet.

    I agree that the gain channel with the Lead Drive pulled out isn't for me. It's fizzy, thin, etc.... But add a good distortion pedal and keep the regular gain channel lower on the amp, and it's amazing.

      By the way, it's true what they say about the clean channel on these. Nothing I've ever owned even comes close. Not the Vetta, the Flextone, the JVM410H, certainly not the JCM 800. To my ears, it's like they took the best Fender Twin and Roland JC-120 examples and combined them. It's a warm, sparkling, pristine clean that will sustain for days. In fact, I spend almost as much time on the clean channel of this amp as I do with distortion.
