BBE 422A thru the effects loop

I have run this in a huge rack before but never just thru an amps effects loop.
I want to run my TC delay as well and don't like how the delay sounds thru the front of the amp.
How should I wire this up?

Crap in, crap out, so Send from the loop into the 422 then to the delay, then Return from the delay. That way the delay gets the signal after the 422 has done its thang. If you do it the other way, the 422 has to treat the original signal plus the repeats. Not saying it'd be a problem, as I have no clue, but it makes sense to me.

But I'm sure you're aware of what other kind of shit makes sense to me

I thought the Sonic Maximizer was always supposed to be the last thing in the loop ? I run a 362 through all 3 of my amps. I once bought a newer 482 for one of my 5150's, trying to match another 5150 I had(with a 362) and it sounded like ass. I don't know what they did to the 4-series but they seriously screwed it up for guitar sound.

422 or 422A is all I have ever used with a guitar.

I may have stated that wrong. It's not a 4-series thing that sounds bad but the newer models with the red faceplates. The 422 was before the 362 and sounds great.

I have a 362NR and have always ran it at the end of the chain in the effects loop. Love the warmth it brings to SS amps.
