  • Laney GH100TI opinions?

This is the 1st gen Tony Iommi signature model head. Single channel. Anybody have one or had one and can share their opinions on the overall tone and gain structure of the amp? Does it clean up nicely with guitar volume changes? Is the gain "sludgy, or dark or fuzzy"?
The clips I have heard online sound very thick and almost JCM800 sounding. Then there are clips that make the amp sound very dark.

Haven’t tried that one, but a friend of mine let me check out the Laney VH100R and I think it’s the most amazing amp I’ve ever played. Cleans, quiet, mucho gain and really fat.

Was able to dial in just about any tones I wanted to hear from it; without a doubt it’s in a totally different league of it's own; if you can check one out, it’ll rock your world too. The VH100R is a total beast and my next amp!

IIRC Burgerman uses a VH for his YouTube & ProGuitarShop gear demos. So it seems to be a good clean platform for pedals too

I don't believe the VH and GH series are that much alike.
