I thought about something on the way to work this morning.... do I need to raise the dry signal on the patch, or is something else going on?
lets start out by exactly how you wired it. I'm starting to think you didn't follow the 4 cable method correctly.

That might be the case. I can't check it now because I'm at work and I don't remember it off the top of my head. I followed a YouTube video for it.

Make sure too the loop is "on". As the loop is like an FX in the chain.

Thanks. I don't have it in front of me, so do you know where I would adjust that?

EDIT: Found it. I need to adjust the S/R (Send/Return) setting on the GT-100.

After we figure out IF your wired correctly, this was my next question or statement if you will.

              Question??
How the hell do you use the FX floor board software? It keeps asking me for Midi and I don' use Midi.
I find the Boss Tone Lab so much easier to use then this software but I can't get it to go LOL so my opinion right now is just of the fact I can use the Tonelab and can'e the FX floorboard.

I forget the exact menu item, but you have to change it from Midi to USB. Mine had no problem connecting up once I did that.

Also, another tip I discovered yesterday with Fx Floorboard: when you go to turn a knob up or down, you don't grab and drag the knob around the dial like with most audio programs. Instead, you click on the knob, hold, and move like you're moving the mouse cursor up or down.

I'm going to verify the wiring tonight, but my main suspicion at this point is the Send/Receive setting being turned off.

I just installed it here to have a look. Go to Settings, Preferences, USB/Midi.

Update: I got home a bit earlier and sure enough, the S/R setting was the problem. Now my amp's preamp comes through loud and clear. I still haven't tried using the GT-100 to switch amp channels. That's next.

Absolutely have the GT100 switch your channels. It's what brings everything all together. Think about it, build a clean tone on Patch lets say 1, then on Patch 2 create a Overdrive tone. Use the Amp control on and off depending on which one is your clean channel and which one is your OD channel. You can have different delays, chorus no chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Or what ever you want per patch. Then once you get them dialed in save that patch and recall it with one foot press. Thats where it's at with the GT100. No amp control , Gt 100 becomes completely less effective.

I saw that but it wouldn't switch from Midi to USB. Funny I got out of that software and went into Boss Tone lab and it works perfectly.
I'll have to try again and see. Does it bring over all your setting and control the Gt100 like Tonelab does live?

Absolutely. It has a Windows-like tree on the left where each bank is listed. Click the "+" sign and it expands to show each patch in that bank. Double-click on a patch and you can sit there with your guitar and edit on the fly while listening to the sound changing. Click the little lights on each effect to turn them on and off.

I'm gonna try it again when I get a chance. It loos cool but I don't find anything wrong with Tone Central. It works really good and I can use it effortlessly.
                              Glad your enjoying the GT100.

Thanks. I noticed last night that when channel switching with the GT-100, the LED's don't change on the amp. I can hear the sound of the channels switching clearly, but no difference in the lights. Not a big deal. I just thought that was interesting.
