Also, does anyone know if I can use both the GT-100 amp channel switching plus my regular pinned-socket footswitch at the same time? Or will only one work at a time?

1/4 mono. Is your Carvin equiped with a 1/4 stereo? I had to do a lil' trick to make it work with my Peavey 6505 as it is a 1/4 stereo.

It's a Carvin X100B reissue. It has the 5-prong (forget what it's called) plug for the nicer footswitch and a 1/4-inch jack for the simpler one, which I don't have. I'm running the GT-100 into the 1/4-inch.
Think it could damage anything if they were both plugged in? Or, can only one work at the same time?Member - National Sarcasm Society

I have yet to try the GT-100 across the JVM410H. I think the loop in that one is sort of "meh" and that's why I haven't bothered yet. The X100B has a killer loop. Plus, the JVM is a 4-channel amp with three configurations in each channel, so the GT couldn't dream of switching it properly.
I've also learned something else; I probably won't bother downloading and plugging in any more patches because the ones I've tried sound nothing like they do in the videos. They sound okay and of course I could tweak them, but the ones I've built myself sound far better to my ears.
If any of you want to try mine out, I'll put them up for you. I have about 7-8 made now.Member - National Sarcasm Society

I used to have a JVM 410 and the GT-8 with a midi cable it will switch channels on the JVM no problem at all. I didn't even plug in th eJVM foot switch just let the GT -8 do the switching

"Since this is a single mono plug, it can’t switch a three-channel
amp."
So I assumed it couldn't switch a 4-channel amp, either. I might still try it at some point.Member - National Sarcasm Society

That manual is referring to a 1/4 instrument cable Chanel switch and no it could not do turning loop on or 4 channels but the midi output of the GT-100 can switch channels and effects loop anything the factory JVM pedal can do plus I think I could switch modes as well with Gt-8.

If your amp was MIDI-switchable, I imagine you could send all kinds of instructions from the GT-100, to control all the functions normally performed by the FS-44L controller while changing patches on the FX unit. But you may be limited to changing channels on the amp & the FX unit at the same time with the other socket.
With the JVM 410H and a MIDI cable, it should be possible to switch all 4 channels with the GT-100, as mrhiwatt said

I may eventually try it on the JVM. I don't yet even know how it sounds across that one. I'm also thinking of selling/trading the 1960A cab for a 1960AV or 1960BV. The T-75's aren't really doing it for me.Member - National Sarcasm Society

I messed around with Floor Board and I actually prefer Boss Tonelab better. I can switch things on the fly easier , tuner pops up on the screen when you enter into that mode and saving patches I feel is much easier. Not to mention assigning Pedals to Effects while your in a patch so if you want to turn something on and off while in a patch I assign that function to one of the pedals. This is extremely easy in Boss Tone Lab.
Again thanks for the share as at least I got to try something different.
