Just picked it up. Paul Reed Smith 30. Black and white Tuxedo tolex covered. Gold piping. Warehouse 12" speaker. Single channel with reverb. 30 watts running 4 EL84's, 2 12AX7A's and 2 12AXT's.
Master volume has a cool feature as to when its turned all the way up it is removed from the circuit.
Beautiful fit and finish and the craftsmanship and workman ship is impeccable. Handmade and hand wired in Maryland. Doug Seward designed.
This amp is perfect for clean to jazz to blues to country to classic rock. Takes pedals very well. Basic controls, no effects loop. Reacts very well to the volume control on your guitar. I am using mine with a Fulltone GT500 to kick it up a notch in the gain department and for solo boost.
I have never owned a Cornford amp but being a fan of Guthrie Govan I heard him play through Cornford combo's many times. This amp sounds like a Cornford. I am pretty sure Warren Haynes and Derrick Trucks use this amp for smaller venues. It gets absolutely incredible reviews online.
Easily the most expressive sounding amp I have owned to date. Great for single coils or humbuckers. Perfect amount of compression, the gain is just beautiful and the reverb is absolutely amazing. The nicest thing about this amp is how the volume and the master volume react. They have a very controllable sweep to them. Too many of my amps go from decent volume level to THE COPS ARE COMING when you turn them up 1 or 2 numbers. This amp has a very linear sweep. You can actually turn it up.. even at home.
I can't say enough about it. Its perfect. Yea.. it was expensive for a 30w 1 x 12 combo but this amp is worth every penny.
