Really??I've played a VHT,but now I hope to try one afaic!But which are the main differences?

The Mesa 50/50 runs on 6L6s and is 2 rack spaces high.It's a stereo poweramp with a 25 watt half power reduction switch-and a fixed bias design.It's bias cannot be adjusted without swapping out resistors of current value for lesser or greater ones.Mesa designs all thier amplifiers with a fixed bias.They reccomend you use Mesa tubes only for optimum performance(big marketing ploy on Mesa's part)since ANY tubes will work-and Better than the cheaper stock mesa tubes.
It's decent poweramp that performs like ALL Mesa Poweramps-Very Well.

VHT on the other hand is the undisputed *Heavyweight Champion* when it comes to power amplifiers.It runs on KT-88s(or 6550s)has an adjustable bias circuit in it,is 4 rack spaces high and has a few other features which the Mesa does Not.The 2150 is rated at 105 watts a side(not 150 as some think)The VHT has Presence and Depth adjustments(*Depth* is a deeper more pronounced BASS FREQUENCY ADJUSTMENT).
The VHT has voicing buttons on the rear of the unit to adjust the EQ character of the tubes.More pronounced and *fat* as opposed to a softer attack-which is available by either pushing In or OUT the voicing button(this feature is found on the older VHT power amps).
The VHT 2100 Classic has the same features and the ability to run in Class A and Class AB.The 2100 Classic is rated at 100 watts a side.
The 2100 Classic runs on EL-34 power tubes and can produce some really british voiced growl(think Vintage perfect type Marshall).
The VHT 2150 has Pummeling Volume and Power tube *fatness* from a whisper to Wall rattling volumes.

Uhhhh...he asked about the VHT 2/50/2, not the VHT 2150...

The VHT 2/50/2 is an EL34 OR 6L6 tube power amp. It will take either, and there is a switch inside it for when you change it from one tube type to another. It's got the following controls up front per channel: On/Standby, ClassA/ClassA-B Switches, Voicing Switches, Level Switches (High and Low power), Volume, Presence and Depth. It has selectable Ohms for each channel (4/8/16), and each channel will feed 2 outputs.
