Roland SDE1000 delays

I know I've asked this before but I see alot of these on Ebay and wanted to know if it would be a good unit to pick up- With the cheap prices they're going for I could get a few and run them seperately in my 4x4- Are they cheap units or is it because they're older that they're selling for under $150.00? Anyone? FM

What's the difference between the SDE1000 and the SDE3000?

I've had about 4 or 5 1000s, and a 2500. These are all old delays, but they have excellent sound quality for their age. The 3000 has 3 delay circuits and some panning features, which makes it the top choice in these units. The 1000 is a basic unit, although it is waybetter than the Boss delay pedals since it maxs out at 1490ms, and has excellent modulation. Also the 1000 is limited in patches. It only has 4 available, and if I remember correctly, was not MIDI controllable. I had to run each unit with 4 Roland DP2 switches........Get the 3000 if youre going to buy any of these units. I beleive it had 64 or 128 MIDI patches.
