im about to go and just wipe it all down with a wet rag, there are cobwebs on the tubes and all in the inside of this thing...is there anything i shouldnt get damp or anything i should watch out for?

I'd use compressed air on electronics before I just grabbed a wet rag and started wiping. If you have to wipe, use a DRY rag... and I hope you're just cleaning the outside of the chassis, i think if you opened her up you'd be on the six o'clock news [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Thats what I use on the OUTSIDE of the chassis and head. NOT dripping wet, but just damp enough so you aren't just pushing dirt around.
And you probably know this, but DO NOT get inside the chassis with that damp rag. Like Pete said, compressed air or nothing.
