Crate Blue Voodoo 60 watt

Aliright, I came across a Crate Blue Voodoo 60 watt head for $140. Ive wanted one ever since I saw an add with Marty Friedman in the mid ninties! Anyone have any experience with them? Is it a good buy?

Great buy! I had one years ago with KT66 tubes and it sounded pretty monstrous, even at low volumes.

That seems like a great price. I have heard that they break a lot though. So be extra picky when checking it out.

That's a good buy. They don't break unless you abuse them. They also sound really good. Great clean and super high gain. Very loud too.

I had one too. Surprisingly good for the price. And for $140? No brainer.

Yah, I've got one buried somewhere in my studio. Great amp, just that I've got
others I like better. Nice deal on the $ assuming no issues...

I figure my luck, Its probably will need new tubes. Ive only had one tube amp before, (Krank Rev Pro Jr 20) and to re tube it is gonna hit me for around 80, betting the Crate will be about the same if needed
