I heard that one of these would give me more heavy metal crunch and better tone. He told me this dude said it gives him awesome tone and allows him to define his tone better. Are boss eqs good for heavy metal?

An eq is an eq...it all depends on how you set it. I used mine for metal and it worked fine, I highly recommend the Boss one if you'd like to sculpt your tone a bit more than the amp allows. -

I have a GE-7 running at the very end, after everything else, just before the power amp. It goes, guitar, wah, o/d, V-Amp 2, compressor, GE-7, amp.
Personally I use it to lower the low freq a bit, and boost the mids...low mids, mids and high-mids, all at varying levels. Personally, I find it to be a great tool.Comment
