  • LINE 6 Flextone II Help?

Does anyone have any opinions on the 200 watt line 6 Flextone II head? Its sounds like just what I want, but I cant find any good audio samples of it. I know a lot of well known guitarists are using them exclusively, live that is..

i prefer the pod (flextone II's guts) with a tube amp.

we used the pod for all the guitars on our demo, with the modern high gain setting with the mid and treb on 10 and the bass on 5.

http://www.burning-village.com you can download a song and hear how the pod came out if you want.

if you have the head, try with the Paul Reed Smith settings: gain10, bass10, mid10, treb0, prec(if applicable)0, volume loud as hell.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I had the first version of the HD, and I loved it. I haven't had the HD 2, but I've messed around with them, and I've also had the POD Pro, which is essentially the same thing as the HD 2 minus the power section. The only thing that stumped me was when to use or to not use the cab sims. Sometimes it made it sound better (I was playing it through a pair of Marshall 1936 2x12s), and other times it sounded like a$$. It takes some work to get a good sound, but once you find it, WATCH OUT!! They are loud as hell too! You gotta get the floorboard to really get the most out of it, and without it, it's pretty much useless live. Definitely a worthwhile piece of equipment, but find one used and save some $$$ - you chould be able to get one under $700.

Didn't personally care for the Heads or combo's much at all. I did however enjoy my POD 2.0 through my 50/50, which was my main amp till I could get a preamp.
