ZOOM Hyper Lead pedal

Okay, I bought a Hyper Lead pedal last summer from MusicToyz.com. It was well constructed, quiet, analog, true bypass, etc.... However, I didn't think that it had NEAR enough gain for playing rock/metal. In fact, it gave me a whole new appreciation for my Metal Zone/GE-7 EQ combination. I sent it back to MusicToyz for a refund (they were very cool about it, by the way).

Have any of you tried this one?

how are the zoom pedals?
i know they were selling the trio of distortion pedals for approx $60 at ams.
they look well built, but no one i know of has tried one.
