• Best Distortion Pedal

Right now, I'm using a Rocktron Rampage. It works great, but I've got to put an EQ with it to get more low ends out of it. It is relatively quiet at loud volumes, too.

Anyone else using one of these? And is there anything better? Also, what would you absolutely stay away from?

Well, I recently bought a Korg 104ds Hyper Distortion, and I love it.... two programmable channels, and it's very articulate and quite flexible, and it's got some sort of weird noise gate function, but I actually like it.

I still swear by the ol'Tubescreamers! Not as standalone distortion devices, but just to kick an already overdriven amp "over the top" for leads!

I really like my turbodistortion from boss. It comes with a midboost so don't have to buy an equaliser

I love the DOD Juice Box overdrive pedal. It's basically their version of a Tube Screamer, and it kicks much ass and is made to be used in front of an already distorted amp. It's got bass and treble controls, seems to have a little mid range built in.

This has been a great rig really...

However, this is a good backup... Good if the amp has some grunge already...

However, use of either of these would require this:

Well, it's not exactly a pedal, but why not cut the crap and save up for a JMP-1?

Thanks, Cleveland. Those three are actually my originals.

Cool, I couldn't remember who did it, I just know I liked them enough to steal them!!!! And it inpired me to make the fart modeling preamp... Not quite as cool as the Talent booster, that truly ruled!!!

                      Thanx!!!
