    yeah i've been running one on my mkiii for years. ever since i was playing a gig and it overheated and just wouldn't put out any sound at all. then before the song was over it came back on. it was weird. so ever since then i have run a clip on fan behind it blowing on the tubes. thanks man i know i'll love it!

      Pete,

      You're right about the volume controls. I just checked the schematic. I don't remember having a problem with the clean and the gain cranked, but then we didn't play clean very much...

      I could swear he had a post/pre switch next to the to EQ switch, but maybe my memory is incorrect. I remember playing with it a bunch one night and recording the results, and I can't think of another amp around that had a 5-band EQ... Is it possible they added something like this later or as an option? I don't know Mesas all that well since I don't really like them.
