Peavey 5150 Mods??

Hello All! I've read somewhere about mods that u can do to the amp head that will improve the sound (more crunch, clairity etc.) I belive it was something about biased or something. Does any1 know how a modification like that goes for? Would I need to change tubes, fuses etc. any help would be great guys. Thx in Adv

yep, that will run about 40-50 bucks, get yourself some new 6l6's and go to a tech and say you want a bias mod done, i would say set it around 35-41 mas a tube. There is also a mod for the 5150 to accept an integrated quad or 6l6's and el34's. not sure how much that costs though..

I should have messed with the bias of my 5150 before i sold it and went rack...oh well.

I remmber olka posting something about making the 5150 distortion a bit more defined. Basically juice the the amp up
