  • 1/4" stereo y-cables for Rocktron Patchmate

I've been thinking about going true stereo on my rack. My Prophesy preamp, BBE 422A, Rocktron ProQ and VHT 2150 are all true stereo. The only thing is I'm using a Rocktron Patchmate switcher and they say to use a stereo Y-cable to run out of the last loop into your stereo power amp. Is this the best way to run everything?
Any ideas where to get some high quality Y-cables? I'm using George L's for everything and wanna keep the signal nice and transparent.

    Thanks,

Joel I used to use a Y cable from the 3+ to my 20/20 and it would sound fine. When I got the ProQ I let the ProQ split the signal instead of using the Y cable. There was no difference in tone or noise at all using the Y. With that said it may not be the case with your rig. I am using a Rapco Neutrik connector Y cable and have no complaints. Here is where I got it. This place has tons of cables so I would call and ask their opinion on what the best noise free instrument Y cable they have available is.

Also if you find the Y cable solution to noisy try Mario at:

He has a splitter that will turn the signal stereo for you with little if any noise. And it has a bonus 3rd buffered split output you can run to a tuner.
