After 27 years of searching I finally found the ultimate rig.
My band plays everything from Dokken and Metallica to Disturbed and Godsmack
This entire rig is rack mount
Peavey Sixty-Sixty all tube power amp
Carvin 4 channel Quad X preamp with Quad X floorboard
Behringer V-Amp2 in the global effects loop for a mix of delay and stereo chorus only
rack mount power strip
SKB road case
Randall bottoms loaded with 300w Altec Lansing speakers (the same ones that Randy Rhoads used on the Blizzard of Oz tour.
This rig gives me 4 channels (1 clean,1 with more punch, one heavy rhythm and one for solos), it has a built in noise gate, long tail reverb, smart switching for the EQ, reverb and effects loops, and it has a seperate switchable effects loop for every channel and a global effects loop. Th e preamp is awesome.
