    If your concerened about price try the Line 6 guitar port. Its the same chip as the PodXT and is a analog digital converter that uses the USB. It's recognised by all Cakewalk software and most others too. I think the only one that doesn't is Digidesign stuff. The sounds are great, not as prgramable as the XT but you get alot of the best sounds that were in the POD 2.0 but with a better processor. I got one and it's great. Mu computer just sucks. My 40 gig just took a crap so now I have to get a new one. Oh well. The Port rocks.

      i use a v amp 2 and i love it

      i have to run it through a marshall gr15cd (15 watt pre mg series) so it could be better

      the only niggle i have is that it takes a second to switch patches using the footswitch, so i got a marshall super drive (in a pawn shop) to cover the drive when i need to use a clean part

      this is purly for home use though i have never tried gigging it
