    I just wondered. They're both 2x50watt right?

    9100 is usually 6L6 powered (though apparently some are EL34) and the EL34 is well, EL34 powered. Otherwise, the same amp. Stay away from them. They are troublesome if you drag them around a lot. They break easily and are hard to repair for the tech.. Get a VHT 2150...

      Ahem, i already have a 9100 and it's been acting cool since '97 [img]graemlins/images/icons/tongue.gif[/img] ...but as you mention, i have been taking really good care of it, so that may be the reason.

      My 9100 is Sovtek 5881 powered.

      I guess i'll have to search the internet some more to find out the differences. If they are the same amp, i wonder why Marshall made the EL-34...
