Cool collection of amps. I had a Carvin X60 for years, bought it in '84 or '85 but I sold it 15 or 20 years ago.... Where has the time gone?

      Mine:

1998 DSL100 1/2 Stack "Orange Crush" bought new.
Laney AOR 50 head bought in Hollywood late 80s.
Laney AOR 50 Combo. Too heavy but too cheap to pass up.
Randall RM100 Lynchbox with about 10 modules, but all stock except for a Fender Deluxe (not sure who mod'ed it).
Marshall Artist 30 head. Use it with a Laney 4x10 (might be a bass cab with 60w Fane's)
      Monoprice 15
      Kalamazoo Model 1
      Kalamazoo Model 12
      Gibson Explorer
      Gibson GA5T

Might have more but that's too many already.

My favs are the DSL100, Artist 30 (I use a MXR 10 EQ in the loop for thrash metal), and Monoprice 15 (sort of a 2203 combo).

I like the RM100 for all the features, but it comes second in tone to my DSL100. I'm going to re-tube the RM100 with GE6550's from EL34s.

The Laney's give me my best 2203 tone (not using the boost).

Fifteen or 20 years ago, a friend of mine used to play a Koch 112 live. Sound was thick and clear note definition. Another friend played a Badcat. Both amps sounded great with their playing. I could never choose which one I liked better. These guys influenced my amp shopping. Here is what remains of those years of GAS:

EVH 5150III 50-watt. Older Vietnam ver. Bought used w/Svetlana winged C 6L6’s. It slayed! On a budget, had to buy JJ’s (factory replacement). What a compromise. Still a kick ass amp.
Peavey Rockmaster preamp modded by Jerry Pinelli. Very usable tonal range w/no bees. JJ’s inside.
          Paired with..
Tubeworks MOSValve MV-692. Inexpensive, reliable, and lightweight SS power amp. Two channels @ 80 each. Not a brutal amp. Not much depth to the tone but good mids.
Zinky Blue Velvet 50-watt 1x12 combo. Black Toltex version w/5881’s. Crushing thick tone.
MOD DIY 5 or 10 watt amp head. Little kit amp I made. EL-84 and 12AX7.
          Blackstar ID Core 10.
Marshall 1960a Stereo w/75’s and Weber Beam Blockers on the bottom.
Pair of ADA slant 212’s w/Peavey EVH Sheffield’s and Weber Beam Blockers.

            Just one here.

            Mesa/Boogie Quad preamp
            Mesa/Boogie 295 poweramp

No cabs yet and both amps needs a check up.

I am using the Quad through the recording outputs as I never had tried it and it sounds pretty good. Both amps are 220 voltage European and they might have been together before in the early '90s as I sort of know Soren Reiff a Danish guitarist who had the same at that time. Still pretty rare in Denmark and I believe it can be counted on one hand how many Quads and 295 in Denmark by 2019.

Finally I can get into RR2772 as due to my taste in music are mostly stratocaster based and vintage Marshall amps.

It does sound great and still stock since I got it new back in January 1997. Custom shop made without me putting that on the order! My order was 2 years later or so. That is CS policy only and thats what it became.

I sold it for a giant pile of cash. It was strictly a money thing. The person who bought it REALLY wanted it. He is a collector. Nobody could use that amp live in any club that I play in. Its just too hard to tame.

I have an AOR 50 head and 4x12 cab with Celestion 70/80's. Love it. Only real amp I have left after getting a Helix 2 years ago. Recently fired it up and fell in love with it again. I never use the boost either. Very noisy amp with the boost pulled
