• Which of these two wireless?

The Samson Airline or the Shure Guitarist.
I'm going to buy one of these, but I'm not shure which one. I need advice.
They're approx. in the same price range.

Appart from the obvious difference, what are the pros and cons of these two systems. I've got nothing against belt packs so don't let that affect your advice.

I'm thinking about build quality, battery life, range etc.?

They're probably good systems, but there's a reason why I'm getting one of the two mentioned.
I'm trading some stuff with a shop that only carry these two sysems, so that's why I need info on them only.

well it depends on what you are trading, to know if its worth it or not.

Re: Which of these two wireless?

Don't mind that because I get store credit for more than the price on either of the systems anyway. I'm going to use some of it to buy one of these systems. It's as simple as that. So what I need is advice on these two systems. It's a killer deal on both anyway. I just need to know if one is supperior to the other in any way.
So if you have useful info please let me know.

I have not used either one, but I would go with the one that had the features that I like. I don't think wirelesses are as different as they were 15 years ago. (I could be wrong), I have a Samson (can't remeber the model)rack mount reciever unit that works great (it is about 4 years old). I think I paid aroung $350.00 for it. I bought my nephew an audio technica unit new for $99.00 about a year ago that works about as good as mine. So I would go with the features. If you got into the very expensive ones, there would probably be a difference. Wow, how non committal was this responce.

Looks like the Shure wins.

Thanx for the advice RacerX.
Earlier today i tripped on one of my cables, and basicly at that moment I chose to go with the Samson Airline. No cables at all for me.

Hopefully I will be satisfied.

Re: Which of these two wireless?

I've been using a Samson Airline in my rack for a while now... it's a solid little unit, has suffered some abuse, and if you kill the battery in the transmitter, you can always scrounge a spare from the remote control for the bar TV ... on the flip side, there's a slight tone loss and I wouldn't want to record with it, but no one can hear the differnce live, especially in a four-piece...
