Dave, I would have thought that too. In fact, I assume(d) that part of the reason they redesigned the thing was to move to a different switch because of whatever issues they were having with the original GC switches. (Pure speculation on my part, but supported by the facts.) However, I've seen at least a dozen different complaints about failed switching on the GC Pro to date. I don't know if that's due to bad switches or something faulty in the brains of the unit. That's something that'd be impossible to tell from the outside on a midi controller.
I know there's a tendancy to want to justify spending the $$$'s on gear, but try not to get too defensive just because some of us point out some issues that we've seen on things. It's not a personal thing, and comes from wanting to help people have as much info as possible before deciding where to spend their money.
