Yes, your absolutely right because I read about the EXG and it does remove the mids and yes, the midboost increases just that, the mids. Have you done this with something like powerchords in distorted mode? Not trying to make more work for you, but I believe that may enhance the difference.

Dave... I haven't... I believe for power chords what you have is better... I am going to have to mount a mid-bosst circuit on my guitar for that...

I will owe you those recording for a week or so because I dont have any preamp at all right now!... I have the following units coming my way:

1) ADA mp-1
2) Peavey TubeFex
3) Carvin Quad X

Once I get those I will get you some clips.
