  • seymour duncan identification help please

    i just got a used jackson fusion xl the other day and it came with a SD in the bridge. its base plate is silver and has the letters DDL on it.
    does anyone know what model this pickup is?

    Yeah, that's the Duncan Distortion Lite. It's 60% fat free. They sound really thin. </smartass mode>

    I'm not sure what model that is. If I was forced to guess I'd say a Duncan Distortion of some kind, but I've only seen them marked as SH-6 and TB-6.

      I think it's a Duncan Distortion, and I believe the L stands for the initial of the person who made it. [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] I think I remember reading something about this awhile ago.

        Correct. Duncan Distortion. The last letter is, as Joe said, the initial of the winder.
