Tube ?

I noticed that one of my preamp tubes had a little red glow to it and the others didn't. It is a different type tube, but is it normal for a tube to glow like that. The whole tube wasn't glowing or anything like that just a little redish orange spot in it.

Different brands and types glow differently. Nothing to worry about.

It's probably no big deal. Depending on how much gain the tube produces it will glow more or less or differently. 12AX7s will be brighter than 12AU7s, etc.
