I wonder if tubes get consumed earlier using it in low power mode....anybody? [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

low power mode will give longer tube life...

I use the low stage for rehearsals and the smallest gigs!

Anything larger..... is heaven!

When you put it in the low power mode, doesnt it only run on 2 tubes instead of the 4? [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

I think the if running in low mode only one tube is ''working''!
If in high mode, in two!

The 4 tubes are because of the stereo!
Each channel has two tubes!

Mesa 90/90 has 4 tubes for each channels

Gotta love it!

Yeah, I think it's the two middle tubes of the 50/50 that run in low power mode...you can easily check just by seeing which ones light up and get hot when in low power, and all 4 run in high power mode.
