A long time. My '92 Marshall Valvestate (8240 stereo chorus combo) still has the original preamp tube in it... and I've had it brand new since around '93. The amp still sounds great!!

Normally preamp tubes last 2x or more longer than the poweramp!

but you can get a bad new one's which will last for once or twice!
Hopefully you dont get deserted on the gig like i was!
