• A popping sound.

Alright, I got my traynor last summer and it has started to pop at intervals like very 15 seconds, and the tubes are glowing blue when i take the standby off, dunno if thats normal or not, with standby on there orange. I think it just needs new tubes, just need to clarify.

YCV 80? I had some poping sounds, then the power started dropping out, so I replaced the power tubes with Electro Harmonix 6L6's and it was fine. I also replaced the preamp tubes with EH 12ax7's as well.

That usually means the nuclear reactor is about to melt down. Think "China Syndrome". You'd best take that for a long ride in the country and bury it deep. Preferably in someone else's country!

Actually Traynor is Canadian (Nuclear free)! It's no Soldano but great high gain tube amp for the bucks. I just wish they would hurry up with the head. BTW it's nothing like the old Traynors that Dad's band used to play on.
Jon I would bet it's those Sovteks. Just invest in some new tubes.

Yeah, thnx dave, where can i get tubes? I'm not really fond of buying on line can u buy tubes from the music shops around here like wentworths? And speaking of old traynors, theres a very old traynor at my school, and when you crank all the way up the speaker distorts and gives you a nice creamy distorsion, very nice, maybe its just a black sheep

Hey, sorry, I wasn't knocking the amp, just making stupid jokes in general.
