I guess this can go here, What kind of amps did the clowns in Skid Row use? I don't care for them much, but they have a few great tunes and their sound is pretty decent.

The first album was Marshalls, I think, but Slave To The Grind (one of my all time favorite albums) was Riveras. After that I have no idea.

They also used the MP1 and a BBE sonic maximizer on the first album too.

I also remember (I think) Seeing Sabo's setup and seeing a Soldano in there for a live rig but I am not sure which tour it was....

I just posted two pictures of Scotti's and Snake's Rigs over at adadepot.com You can find them in the gallery section. The pictures are from 1989 and you can see they were using Marshalls but running an ADA MP1 through them as preamps.

Why would you use a Marshall head with an ADA run into it? I mean when I used the ADA, I just ran a power amp with it in a rack.

Is there any reason to use a full head for just the power section? ALso, When I had my ADA, I was young and didn't have any clue about tone, but why did ADA go out of business if they were pretty decent sounding pre amps?

I kknow a lot of big artist used the stuff.

They probably liked the sound of the tube power section in the Marshall heads.

I just saw Skid Row here in Cincinnati and I think I saw a stack of Randalls on Dave's side of the stage and a stack of Line6's on the other.

i remember reading back in the day they used boogie quad preamps on some things too, as in a guitar magazine or something.

Currently they are using Randalls live. So is Poison. CC was using the Snakeskin covered ones.

I remember back in the day, I think it was the first album when they toured with Bon Jovi they were using KMD amps. I remember seeing ads with them endorsing KMD's.

I've got a pic of Scotti's rig from 1992 or so, he has two Rivera heads, an MP-1 and a Rocktron Pro Gap, and some BBE Sonic Maximizers, maybe a few other things.
