PEAVEY TRANSTUBE

I want a 2x12 amp and so far i really like the peavey transtube i heard some good stuff about it and i wanted to know if it was possible to get a good death metal tone out of it like CANNIBAL CORPSE and some of the pros and cons about it. any input is appreciated

I've been using the TransTube Special 212 for several years as my home practice/recording amp, and the TransTube Express 112 before that. Although I've never tried to get a Cannibal Corpse type sound out of it, I'm sure it can be done. I had no trouble getting Megadeth and Metallica sounds out of it on the "Lead" channel, and "Ultra" was good for leads (seems backwards), but I'd definitely suggest running a noise gate in the effects loop.
