marshall tsl mod?

any good mod-shops in the midwest? I want to get more gain out of my amp.....its great for classic rock stuff but sucks for a metal tone.

Send it to Trace Allen www.voodooamps.com ... any of the guys I know in our area hate to even fix a modern marshall, let alone mod one.

Then again, the TSLs that I've played had plenty of gain... not really sure how much more *useable* gain you're going to get.

Why not just use an Ibanez Tube Screamer, DOD Juice Box or some other overdrive pedal in front of it to boost it?

You don't get enough gain out of the Lead Channel?...what sort of guitar/pickup are you using? That channel has too much gain sometimes if anything...maybe your amp needs it's bias checked out?

Yeah the TSL has a lot of gain. It might be your pups or something wrong with it. That amp is pretty high gain IMO. Not an Uber but stilll high on the gain end
