      Re: Ultimate Setup

Say what you will about the Line6 stuff, but I've been thru it all over the years and keep going back to mine for practicality.

      My main, live rig:

      Line6 Flextone HD
      2 Genz-Benz G-Flex 2x12's
Nothing else needed for this setup, it ROCKS.

      My studio rig:
      Line6 Pod Pro
      Mesa Boogie 50/50 Power Amp
      Digitech TSR-24S
      BBE Sonic Maximizer
      Rane PEQ
      Carvin Legacy 4x12
      Laney 4x12
Custom Leslie cabinet from the 60's

      Other gear:
Engl Savage 120 Special Edition (tone for days!)
Rocktron Chameleon (nice piece, but I'm a Line6 kinda guy)
      Behringer V-Amp 2
      Line6 Spider 1x12

        Re: Ultimate Setup

I just picked up the Roland VG-8 system and I can't wait to try it for recording and live use. The sounds are incredible. I downloaded tons of samples online and it is a real powerhouse. I also use a Crate DXJ112 modeling amp at home. It is a very nice modeler similar to the Line 6 Spider. For live use I have been using all rack mount stuff but I am now switching back to the Flextone HD as soon as I find one for a reasonable price. They are just too convienent not to use and the sound is amazing.
        Live use:
        Flextone HD
2 Randall 2 x 12 bottoms loaded with Altec Lansing speakers.

            Re: Ultimate Setup

My ultimate live set up would be:
For lead and crunch Channel A and B:
6 slaved Marshall 50w Plexi's with Marshall cabinets loaded with vintage 30's into a Bradshaw switching system. For effects I would like 2 Intellifex units, a vintage tape delay, a Budda Wah, vintage DOD 250, Digitech Whammy 2 and full hush noise protection.
            For clean Channel C:
4 Roland JC120's and 2 Fender Super Reverbs.

            Man... is that a fantasy.

Those look more like the saggy model, I prefer the "pert" model myself.

                    Re: Ultimate Setup

My ultimate setup is my Rivera Chris Duarte and maybe a boost or some delay, but usually just the amp.
