Hi,
I've got a Marshall AVT 100 combo that I mainly use at home (its a bit quiet) and a Marshall JCM900 50 watt 2x12 for my band.
I was thinking the other day that I like the 3 channels on the AVT...clean, Distortion 1 for "classic" rock and distortion 2 (sometimes with the mids scooped) for drop D nu metal stuff.
So at home I set up the following....The AVT100 as the main tone shaper, connected by the line out to the JCM 900 which itself is also connected to an additional 2x12 with celestion vintage 30s.
It seemed VERY promising, and I could use the JCM900 to colour the overall tone. Also I can use the built in DFX of the AVT which may simplify things a bit in the FX department (I have been using a Boss ME30+ a cry baby+ a nady wireless thing.
I'm looking forward to trying it out with the band!
