Anyone here have one or use one? Pros/Cons??
To me, looks like the Ultimate pedal..

    Thanks, Karl.

I have one, but it's the rack mount version, not the pedal. It's very basic. I use it with a 2:90 and it's like having a 180 watt dual-rec head. Bass, mids, treble, presence, and gain. That's about it, of course, that's all you need. It also has an effects loop, but of course, that wouldn't apply to the pedal.

i wanted to buy one cause i thought it might sounds like a dual rectifier. i went to try it out and was disappointed because it didn't have enough gain/distortion for me. it was very nice to warm up the sound of an amp or to push an overdriven amp. i don't think too much of it as a distortion unit. just my 2¢.

        Re: Mesa V-Twin

I run a v-twin pedal in front of my Subway Rocket(my practice amp) and I love the way it sounds.
The SR on its own has WAAAY too much "honk", the v-twin calms that down and rounds out the sound. Not a ton of gain, but certainly enough for most rock or 80's metal applications. If Morbid Angel is your thing...look elsewhere.

i had the rack mount. i used it in front of my marshall with the marshall set clean & sounded great also with a mosvalve power amp, it sounded great. not dual recto gain but nice. in front of the marshall it was much better tho gave the marshall a really killer tone fattened up the bottom, killed the hissy marshall mids & really sounded great.

The rack mount version has 2 channels. One vintage and one modern. The modern channel has plenty of gain. A few months back, I had a black SL2H with an EMG 81 bridge and EMG 60 neck. It also had an EMG SPC control in place of the tone control. Playing it with just the amp's distortion, it had a very Jeff Hanneman-like tone.
Speaking of that SL2H, I sold it and another SL2H that was blood-splatter on Ebay a while back. Did anybody here get them?

Thanks Guys, I went ahead an bought it.. I guess it's just like the other pedals (tone thing) some like it some don't.. There no Dealer around here to try one live, so I'm just gonna give it a try and see what it does.. I use a TSL Marshall so if the pedal won't do what I want, I'll just take it and put it back on ebay.. But I think from what I've read, It will be just fine.. Thanks Guys!!
