I have an old MXR six band EQ that eats batteries in an hour. How would I go about modding it to take a 9v adaptor thing?

i think it could be easy enough,
my way, note this was created on the spot so may not be a good idea, im not sure,
get a power adapter for the right supply the pedal needs (same as a 9v battery i guess) then cut off the usuall plug on the adapter, and in its place solder on a battery clip for a 9v battery, then you should be able to clip this to the battery clip on the pedal instead of a battery and power it from the plug, remember to get the - and + to match you will need to wire the battery clip 'backwards' on to the adapter so the - and + will match up to the ones on the pedal
that seems about right to me, maty be best to try and get some more advice try harmony central or somehting to make sure
