    Re: Good noise supressor?

I use the Boss NS2 after my overdrive pedal and straight into my amp. One of the pedals I have in my effects loop is a Rocktron Surf Tremolo that's got Hush built in, so that too sometimes comes in handy when needed.

I use a hush 2cx "when" I do need it. It was cheap new, (less than a hundred, like 79.00) and seems to work effectively. Takes a bit to dial it in.

The dbx 266XL is a pretty popular compressor/sustainer/gate.

If I were going to use a pedal it would be the older Boss NF-1 these work better than the Boss NS-2 but I use an old Rocktron Hush II AC powered 1/2 rack unit(the single knob unit)after my pedals and before the preamp or amp head.
