I can't comment on the 4501, but I have a studio 15 and it is pretty cool. It's got a direct out, a speaker out, plus you can unplug the speaker cable and plug it into the headphone jack for awesome overdriven tube crunch at midnight jamming levels. It's like a built in attenuator.
Very cool amps...but hard to find.
