Re: Sonic Maximizer

I know you were jokin Stu, hence my answer!

But, I didn't "really" say that in such strictness as you just said. In my joking post, I sorta made the steak reference but, it was a facetious. Did you read my other posts? Gee...

Read my last post. I pretty much said what you just said...

Hehehe, I read em...don't worry about me. I just saw the word "fight" in someone's post, and thought it was in reference to NOT wanting to start one, I didn't want to chance it turning into one of "those" kinda threads. You know me--always the goody-goody-two-shoes hehehe...

tone also is just as equal to how much you pay for your amp (image's in music ) the more you pay for a amp the better the tone

dont matter how your tone realy sound to people if you tell them it came out of a 5 grand amp.(IMO tone is in the fingers but ya know...)

snobs who have guitars?

Re: Sonic Maximizer

Nah, I've heard cheap stuff sound awesome, and I've heard expensive stuff sound horrible...

There can be a lot of expert nuance in your fingers, but probably not exactly tone. Some amps, even the best players can't make it sound good, haha...

There's also stuff more expensive than my stuff that I think sounds like ass.

Good tone to a person, is whatever that person likes. Pretty simple. One persons good toone, is another persons crap tone.

I sure hope you're not calling me a guitar snob...
I'm just a poor ghetto guy that starved to own an amp he wanted. And I still have cheap amps that I like. Nothing about how much money you pay. I think a 5150 is an outstanding amp, yet it is quite cheap for what does. I'd rather have a 500 dollar 5150 than a 1500 dollar MESA any day.

Ahem....

Back to the original question, it seems that the device is a 3 band EQ with micro delay. Yes?

Re: Sonic Maximizer

I wasnt sayin anyone was a guitar snob hear... there just are alot of guitar snobs in the world of guitarist, I have to deal it them everyday at work, most I think only realy judge tone on the price tag/where it was made

I do beleve tone is in the fingers the amps just help

going back to the BBE, I agree that its a kinda of compression and its also like a EQ in other ways... ether way, over useing is is bad.

If you use it to alter your tone in a big way, get a different amp. Same goes for EQs if your doing heavey EQing, do you realy think that amp is right for you?
