• Jackson JG2-80's TONEMONSTER!

Hi Everybody;
I was wondering if anyone else here has or ever had a Jackson JG2 50 watt head? I bought one and have to say it's really an AWESOME amp,particularly if you like 80's Hard Rock/Metal tone.
I've tried getting background info on this beast,but really haven't had any success.I'm surprised they weren't more popular,this thing really is THE BEST amp I have ever owned for the music I play, NAILS Schenker,DeGarmo,Lynch type tone beautifully with no Tube Driver or other overdrive pedal needed in the chain to get rich,warm,harmonic-laden,rock-pulverizing tone!
If anyone has any info on these,please let me know! I wish I would have found one of these babies a long time ago,I would have saved myself so much aggravation trying to find this piece of the Holy Grail!
Thanks Much!

Is that one of the gray fuzzy carpet covered heads? I had one of those about ten years ago, not a bad head! I used a Boss Overdrive/Distortion pedal (OS-2 I think it's called?) with it. Don't remember what happened to it. It's funny how some pieces of gear you can buy now for cheap money can sound so good!
I have a rack system that's made up of all gear that isn't manufactured any more that I bought all the pieces for cheap and it sounds Killer!!!

That's too funny,I'm the same way! The "vintage" stuff always works best for me.
By the way,Michael and "big brother" Rudolf are my two fave guitar heroes,sounds like we have much in common.Thanks for the reply and have a good one!

The Schenker brothers rule man!
I love early UFO, MSG and all the early Scorpion's stuff with Matthias and Uli Jon Roth!!!
I'll tell you Rob, my whole rig except for maybe a pedal or two is made up of all used and vintage gear, including the guitars I play!!
Here's to great sounding cheap gear!

I played one back when it was new. I like!

The cab looks pretty damn cool too.

The only info your going to find is in an old guitar mag. I think Laney made them for Jackson so maybe they will have some info.
