I've got a 5A and think the J95 is really nice in it. I actually did put my X2N in it, but I thought it sounded too bright, so the J95 went back in. I'm actually selling the guitar now since I don't play it as much. Check the bay.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling. -

Recently picked up a model 5a. Before I got it I was dead set on changing the pickup (I have an X2N I could put in it). After playing it a bit though I found that I really like the stock J95. I dunno maybe it's because I really don't know anything, but to my ears the J95 sounds great. Anyone else like these pickups or the J90s.Comment

I like them enough that I might pick up a J90 or J95 for my next project guitar, if I ever get around to finishing my current project. I was going to bid on a J90 with 2 single coils and electronics on eBay, but budman68 was the high bidder so I didn’t bother.Comment
