Recommend a Chorus Pedal for me

Currently I'm evaluating the following Chorus pedals:

Boss CH1 Super Chorus
Boss CE5 Chorus Ensemble
Line6 MM4 Modulation Modeler (true bypass)
Maxon CS9 reissue (true bypass)
TC Electronic SCF Stereo Chorus Flanger (true bypass)

Anyone use any of these and have any pros/cons? Thanks.

BTW, I'm not interested in a rack unit.

I use the CE5 Chorus Ensemble. I love it , and it has a high and low EQ, which helps when you only have one set of EQ for both channels on your amp as I do.

I use a early 80's Boss CE-2 pre into the front of the head or one of the chorus's in the Pod Xt into the loop of my amp. The Boss is very warm and has a great tone too it. The Pod's models are nice but not as warm sounding but the Xt,s have more variables so weirder vibes can be achieved.
Another guitarist I know gets great results with a Icebox chorus pedal by DOD I think. He swears by the thing and it does sound good.

I haven't tried the Maxon CS-9 Pro yet but the Maxon CS-505 pedal is the best sounding chorus pedal I've ever heard!!!! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've actually got one of those DOD Ice Box chorus pedals. I got it for free when I got a little practice Marshall amp off ebay a couple years ago. I used it once just to try out but I've got built-in chorus on my amp, so I never did really see what it was capable of. It's sitting around collecting dust.
I've also got an old DOD FX65 stereo chorus pedal that's pretty good, and I used to use that all the time.

If I were you I'd also check out the Electro-Harmonix stuff, I prefer them over almost anything else; with the exception of a few boss pedals [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Thanks everyone. I'm gonna try a few of these at some local music stores. Firebird, I've never played thru a CH1 so I dunno if I want one or not.

After my shootout I'll let y'all know what I think.

Don't discount the Daneletro Cool Cat Chorus. It's probably the best chorus I've ever used.
