  • Quick VHT question...

What is the difference between the High Sensitivity and Low Sensitivity settings on the back of the power amp?

    2150 I assume?

High sensitivity / -10dB is for typical line output like preamps and effects units, and low sensitivity / 0dB can be used (with a pad circuit) for actually running a low wattage head into.

They show a pad circuit in the manual but don't say just how much wattage it can take. Has a 100 watt resistor in the circuit though...

Seems somewhat dangerous to me for the head, but it's in the manual...

I don't want to risk blowing my amp, I just wanted to try and slave my Valvestate into it until I decide on a preamp.
